My books about life in the country contain 20 true stories about the "good old days" 40 years ago on our small family dairy farm and are appropriate for readers of all ages.
Please be aware, though, that after you read my books of true stories about country life you just might want to buy copies for your family and friends -- it's happened before!
I'm not writing books about life in the country and growing up on a dairy farm to become a best-selling author, though. If I wanted to be a best-selling author making millions of dollars, I would write about something really controversial, like whether it's okay to wear white after Labor Day!
No, the reason I am writing my books of stories about country life is to leave a record about a way of life that has all but disappeared.

Our farm was homesteaded by my Norwegian great-grandfather in the late 1800s, but small family farms are a thing of the past. They have pretty much disappeared from the landscape. My dad milked 20 cows and knew all of them by name. Nowadays the trend is toward corporate farms that milk hundreds of cows. Life in the country just isn't the same anymore!

They want innuendo, controversy, or to learn how to do something. Make money, for instance. Or how to solve their marital problems. Or how to cure their ingrown toenails.
