Broccoli Salad

My sister’s sister-in-law brought a broccoli salad for Thanksgiving (2004) that was “to die for.” Sounds easy to make, as well.

  • 3 pounds of broccoli (cut into small pieces)
  • 15 strips of bacon (fried and broken into small pieces)
  • 1 cup of walnuts (chopped into small pieces)
  • The dressing is 1.5 cups mayonnaise, 3/4 cup of sugar and 3 teaspoons vinegar
  • Note: You can also add 1 cup of raisins if you likeMix up the dressing. Pour over the salad. Let marinate for 3 hours before serving. Delicious! I think I might decrease the sugar a bit and increase the vinegar, though, to make a salad that’s a little more tart.
